unpack fixp14

Downloaded fixpak14 for DB2 UDB v8 , cksum shows 1191692111 , expteced
but.. when I unpack the file with zcat FP14_U810099.tar.Z | tar -xvf -
a lot of warnings occures..

tar: warning - file permissions have changed for
fixpak.s061108/1811600-141/db2chtw81/reloc/IBM/db2/$PRODVERS/infopop/
zh_TW/db2_390/stogroupstospacedialogip.htm (are 0100644, should be
0500644)

Does anyone now why ? I didn't have this problem with the latest
fixpak I applied ie fixpak10

That'd work, too. I'm just curious - are you untarring on to a local disk,
or onto an NFS drive (where root_squash may be turned on)?

Darin... I have tried both, local disk and on SAN, no NFS. I have also
tried it on 3 different servers (Solaris 9) with the same result
but ....It works on a Suse server !
no warnings during untar..I wonder why ? maybe diff levels of tar or
zcat or whatever.....

Got the following from IBM :
"We have re-created the senario in our test machines, We are getting
same warning messages. But, the fixpack does install successfully
afterwards, even though there
are warnings from tar. The problem is noted for SUN machines ,we will
fix this problem as soon as possible. "
