Hi,

Assuming you are using DB2 UDB, here are the answers.

1. Connection pooling can be done at instance level by using dbm cfg parameter NUM_POOLAGENTS. If you give a value of 200, then 200 agents will be residing in the pool for future use.

2. The pool will be maintained by db2 itself. You need to decide on the number of agents in pool, more number of agents in the pool means more memory they occupy. You can also use NUM_INITAGENTS dbm cfg to initially allocate some agents in the pool.

3. For 300 concurrent users, you should have the value of MAXAGENTS to atleast 300. Because one connection might initiate sub agents. 400 to 500 could be the value of MAXAGENTS. You should have enough memory available to allocate those many agents and as usual CPU.

Thanks
