DB2 connect

Hi all.. can anybody tell me what DB2 Connect is used for.. is it for connecting our db2 system to other db2 systems as well as other rdbms systems?

Db2 Connect is used to connect to Host databases like db2 on Mainframes.

what do u mean by DB2 SERVER connect to SQL server ,what do u want?
if u wanna move data from db2 to sql server,u need the thirt part software.
of course ,u can do it by hand .

wat is third part s/w? i want to connect heterogeneous servers to my db2 server so that i can run query on the data available there.....i want to get data from other type of rdbms and use it in my db2 server...like link servers in sql-server..

u can search "jta" in google .this technical allows us operate two heterogeneous db .u can write several line code with j2ee so that u can send "sql " to the db u want .i did it several days b4. its not complex at all.
