Hi All,
I have a product called SESA (Symantec Eterprise Security Architecture) from Symantec which uses the IBM DB2 8.1 database. It is installed on a Windows 2003 server O.S. I want to take the backup of the DB2 database. When I try to connect to the database using command: connect to sesa user db2admin using password !@abcd34, it gives me an sql function error. However, if I try using command: connect to sesa user db2admin using password password123, I am able to connect to the database.
Does DB2 have an issue if the 1st character of the password is a special character. Also does anyone have a step to step guide on backing up and restoring the IBM DB2 database.
Thanks in advance.
