Error: SQL1092N "User" does not have the authority to perform the requested...

P: 2
Hi,
I am installing DB2 Express-C on Fedora Core 6.
Installation went smoothly, but I cannot create a database.

$ db2 create database test
SQL1092N "EMOB" does not have the authority to perform the requested
command.
$ grep emob /etc/passwd
emob:x:500:101:Emob User:/home/emob:/bin/bash
$ grep -e "^d" /etc/group
dba:x:501:emob
dasadm1:x:101:db2inst1:emob
db2grp1:x:102:
db2fgrp1:x:103:
$

Could someone explain what I am missing here and what I need to do to give the "emob" user the correct authority?
Thanks.

You are member of das group,
You have to be member of db2 admin group. You can log as instance owner db2inst1 and it will give you all privileges.
Check configuration of your instance db2 get admin cfg and see what groups are defined as sysadm, dbadm etc. Make yourself meber of admin groupd
