One message displayed in db2diag.log over and over

P: 1
We are running DB2 8.1.6 on a risc6000 with UNIX 5.2. The database administrator downloaded and installed trying to get to maintenance level 9 but could only get to level 6. Now the db2diag.log only displays the same message over and over "2007-03-06- pid:491638 tid:1 level:2
DB2 tools - DB2 administration server - DasCommNamedPipeAdapter::connect1() probe:20 data #1 (4 bytes) -2129723374". It use to display escalations and warnings for package and catalog cache but now it just diaplays this message. We can still see the package and catalog cache warnings and alarms in the inst2.nfy file. Does anyone know of any problems with the maintenance level downloads causing this problem? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
