Slow connection on aix 5.3

Hi all,
Did anyone experience slow TCP connections with db2 v8.2.7 on AIX 5.3
(5300-05-05).
I installed the fixpak to solve the db2ckpwd memory leak, but since
then the connection
to the database via TCP takes seconds even for a second connection
from the same shell.

The connection time to a twin database, but fixpaked to 5300-03-CSP,
is twice, three times
faster, although it is configured as a primary database with all the
load. I suspect the
password check related operations, but I couldn't get meaningful
output from the db2trc
command.

Anyway, I noticed that the root disks are working a lot, with iostat
saying that they are
writing 12MB per second as a peak... although usage is about 53%.

With filemon I just noticed that the device hd4 is working a lot
although I couldn't find a
specific file. hd4 is the / file systems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
