DDL of a table

How can i get a DDL of table , i am using ODBC connection to connect to database. looking for a SQL statement.

Its giving error as DB21033E The command is not valid for databases that reside on DRDA hosts., when i tried from aommand line processor
using command describe table aaa.tablename

I am new to DB2 database, guys please guide me.
