Migrating DB2 UDB ESE v8.1/8.2 from Solaris to AIX

What is the best way to migrate entire database from one operating
system of Unix (ie:Solaris 7) to another Unix opearting system (ie:AIX
5.2)?

Thanks in advance.

As long as you are on DB2 V8.2 (not sure with V8.1) BACKUP/RESTORE
should work. Otherwise db2look/db2move will be helpful

Hi Joachin,

Appreciate your response. In past, i have tried with dbmove/dblook/
export/import/load.... and it works fine. I have also tried redirected
restore but that was for different servers and not for different o/s.
There were few articles on backup/restore on different Unix o/s for
DB2 v8x but not too specific.

Thanks for your reply.

Myjish.
