(missing) logfiles and crashrecovery

My config:
- using DB2 v9 linux/intel non-partioned
- logarchive is done by userexit
- archived logfiles are cleared from disk after x hours
- no backups are taken from this database, because we can reconstruct it
using other databases

one day, at 03:30 logfile S0300426.LOG is archived
so x hours later archived logfile S0300426.LOG is removed from disk
at 14:00 my first active logfile is S0300543.LOG (i'm sure about this)
at 14:30 my machine crashes due to filesystem problems
but, when rebooting and starting db2 and that database again, it want to
read S0300426.LOG again.
this file isn't there anymore. (because i cleared it)

As far as i know, in case of CRASH RECOVERY it will need the FIRST ACTIVE
LOGFILE and newer.
But how is it possible at it needs a logfile that is archived several hours
(and 120 logfiles) ago??

Is my definition of needed logfiles in case of crash recovery wrong ??
Is there a (forced) way to prevent this.... ??

Knokmans

ps. I don't need an answer of telling me to increasing the time before
purging the archived logfiles...
