db2stop

Hi, we are using db2 V8.2 on windows, i try to deleted the data from
the table but i change my mind and stop the process, then if i do
db2stop, seems it is doing a rollback and take the same amount of time
as delete rows to try to stop the server, is there any better way to do
this? thanks

The rollback has to go to logs and retrieve your deletes and then backout
every single one of them. So it is not surprising that it takes at least as
long as the original delete. This maintains data integrity for the unit of
work.

If you want a toy database, try MS Access.

I don't think so as what you are doing is terminating the transaction
without a commit so you get a roll back and everything delete has to be
undone!!!
Regards, Pierre.
