Import data from AS 400 to DB2 9 express

Hi all.

I downloaded DB2 express v 9 and I am just learning it.

We have an AS/400 V4R5 and I would know if there is a way to import
data from AS/400 to DB2 Express (without DB2 connect).
Actually I do it using MS Access and the the client access ODBC driver,
i.e.:

AS/400--Client Access ODBC --MS Access --DB2 ODBC --DB2 server

But I think there is a more direct method to do this.
