Risks in Circular logging for huge db in partitioned environment.

Hi guys,
Can you please give your inputs for this,
OS : AIX 5.2

S/W : DB2 ESE 8.1 with fixpak 9.(Partitioned environment)

DB Size : approx 4TB

Logging : Circular.
Can any one please tell What are the risks involved if we use this
circular logging in partitioned environment.

Many Thanks.

They are exactly the same as any DB2 database. Your recovery is
limited to when you took your backup. Any work done since the
backup will be lost.

If you have a data warehouse, and have a complete backup, or can reload
the data after the last backup, then circular logging is usually fine.

you cannot do online backups
database activity has to be stopped when taking backups
