snapshot_appl_info equivalent for z/OS

I am pursuing an equivalent SQL statement (or close substitute) for z/OS (v8) that currently works on LUW with sysproc.SNAPSHOT_APPL_INFO. My intent is to list all connections (package to port relationships if possible) to a database/instance.

I've searched thru the following two recommended documents in earlier posts, but didn't find an answer:
* SQL Reference for Cross-Platform Development
* SQL Reference on V8 for z/OS

The following command works on LUW today:

select appl_name,substr(appl_id,2,posstr(appl_id,'.')-2),AUTH_ID,CLIENT_NNAME,client_pid,count(*) from TABLE(sysproc.SNAPSHOT_APPL_INFO('dbname',-2)) as a group by appl_name,substr(appl_id,2,posstr(appl_id,'.')-2),AUTH_ID,CLIENT_NNAME,client_pid

I understand this may not be possible, given the compatibility issues between the platforms. However, I wanted to expand the group of subject matter experts before giving up. Work arounds are, of course, welcomed.
