Mesure Instances Usage in a DB2 server

Hello all,

I was advised to divide a DB2 server cost according to instances usage
monthly. Does any one have idea on what matrix/method/tool could be
used? Ideally, the statistic could be collected once from the DB2
instance once a month to save effort...

Btw, I have considered system accounting, however, it seems not very
suitable as it record processes usage after they are competed. The may
caused problem if an instance has been run for several months ...

Thanks in advance!

Investigate using the db2 Governor. It is at the db level but you might get
what you need.
There's a parm. ACCOUNT that allows you to pick up AUTHID, APPL name,
connect/disconnect time.
For more than this, you might want to look at the AUDIT capability.
Regards, Pierre.
