Regarding Replication in DB2 UDB

sat
Hi Everybody !

I want to know about REPLICATION in DB2 UDB in
detail. As i'm going to work on this i would like to
know about it.I want to do it on my PC (if possible) before i can
implement it
on production systems. So,can anyone let me know the SCENARIOS of
DB2 UDB REPLICATION in detail. What is replication? what are the
steps we need to do while/before/after starting the
replication. To be in brief i want to know the implementation and the
working
nature on replication how we can implement.I'll be very much thankful
ifanyone can help me out.I

Thanks & Regards,
sat.

Have you already had a look at the DB2 Replication manual?

ya i have gone thru the PDF. i jus understood theoretically what a
replication means and what are the types of replication (i.e) Q
replication etc.. like we do have control tables, sorce server, target
server.... but i want to implement it on my system. So that i can know
more about it in practical rather than theoretically.

You can use the Replication Center GUI to set it up.

I have gone thru the PDF and even i've gone thru the ADMINISTRATION
GUIDE for Replication. It says some thing which i felt bit
confusing. So,I have tried it with the GUI based Replication Center. So i
want to know the STEPS for IMPLEMENTING the "REPLICATION" on my PC.I
need the steps and procedure how we can work on it.

Thanks In Advance,
sat.

In the online docs you can find a basic replication scenario, which you
could have found in the SQL Replication Guide and Reference.
