Expressions in an outer join

P: n/a
Can I include an expression (e.g., concatentating 2 fields) in the
right side of a left outer join?

If so, how do I refer to the expression in the main select clause?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts,
Jeff

Yes you can, but it will imply a nested loop join and loss of index
access unless you define a generated column for the expression and index
that.

Repeat the expression.
