Bizarre Crash Recovery

Hello,

Linux V8 FP12 with a 64 bit instance.

My DBA called me and said our instance crashed and recovery would never
end.

[db2inst1@autprd04 db2dump]$ db2 list utilities show detail

ID = 1
Type = CRASH RECOVERY
Database Name = RTMDB
Partition Number = 0
Description = Crash Recovery
Start Time = 07/20/2006 14:14:45.338397
Progress Monitoring:
Estimated Percentage Complete = 0
Phase Number [Current] = 1
Description = Forward
Total Work = 18446671313663709616 bytes
Completed Work = 6993977295 bytes
Start Time = 07/20/2006 14:14:45.338516
Phase Number = 2
Description = Backward
Total Work = 18446671313663709616 bytes
Completed Work = 0 bytes
Start Time = Not Started
How is this number possible? 16 Million Terabytes of logs ?

Is there any *quick* way to put the DB back online ?

Help,

TIA.

My system came back up after 30 mins of crash recovery. Fortunately, it
seems this Total Work/Completed Work numbers are not valid.

Any other way accurate way to monitor recovery ?

Thanks, Michel.
