When you take a backup, you'll have to specify the location where the backup
image shall be written.

You cannot simply copy the file systems. You must use the DB2 backup
command. This does not backup the DB2 binaries or the instance, which must
be recreated manually on another machine if you have a disaster (unless you
backup the entire machine).

If you use Google to do a search on:
db2relocatedb and db2 inidb as standby, you will find how and what to file
copy to another system and how to indicate to the db2 sysyem on that target
to identify and locate the copies.
This si not something you do for fun!
If you need a cold copy of your database, use the db2 backup command with an
offline and quiesce parm. This will ensure that the backup is offline, i.e.
cold.
