DB2 enabled Datawarehouse Pilot

We are currently implementing an enterprise datawarehouse using IBM
DB2. The Finance group will be the early adopter of the datawarehouse
via a focused pilot. There are three tables of interest for Finance:

Journal Map lookup table
Journal Detail lookup table
Journal Line lookup table

* Need to develop a user interface to maintain the Journal Entry (JE)
templates and chartfield assignment rules.
* A simple user interface will be developed to help maintain the flat
files more effectively.

I am looking for a reusable solution (or suitable pointers) that can be
leveraged to create, update and delete the values in these 3 tables.
The database records will be saved as a flat file that can eventually
be exported to the datawarehouse. Are there any off-the-shelf
solutions that are available in this regard? If not, we are considering
developing a simple database application to facilitate flexible journal
entry. Are there any off the shelf applications or reusable shareware
that can be adopted?

Are there any "Red Books" or other best practices that describe ERP -
datawarehouse integration?

Thanks for any feedback.
