DB2 8 on VMWare problem

I have installed DB2 8 on a VMWare image. All good so far. Then I made
a copy of that VMWare image, gave it a new name and hey presto, new
machine. Problem: on the new VM, DB2 still thinks it is the original
machine. That is, in Control Center under the "All Systems" node, it
shows the original system and won't let me delete it because it
believes it to be on the local machine.

If I try to add a system, and use Discover, it will not find itself -
only its old self.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or am I going to have to reinstall
DB2 on each VM?

Thanks,
Murray

Try searching the forum archives (google groups) or the net for what needs
to be done to DB2 when you change host names.

Hi!

Try editing file C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\DB2\db2nodes.cfg on the new
machine. Enter new name.

Best regards,
Kovi

Thanks guys. Kovi I tried your suggestion but it didn't do it, so I
searched as Mark suggested, and found a thread with the instructions
(you have to uncatalog and recatalog the admin local node).

Thanks,
Murray
