Comparing databases

Is there any provision in DB2 to compare databases, something similar to
the diff operator in unix.

As I was not able to find any, i reverse engineered the databases into
ERwin and used the 'Complete Compare' feature of ERwin.

I have heard that oracle has such a tool called 'Change Manager'. anything
for db2?

Cheers,
San.

Interesting you say that. I attended a talk on DB2 multiplatform at IM
Tech this week and the presenter noted that a change management tool
will be available soon. Not sure if it does what you want.
Today I'd look at the Rational tool set like
Rational Data Architect or Rational Application Developer for such a
feature.

Cheers

Note sure if DB2 has a built-in tool for this, but I know a third party
tool that can do it. Go to http://synametrics.com/winsql
