Can I create DB2 partitions across multiple flavors of an OS?

I'm new to partitioning of DB2 databases and had a question.

Can I create a primary DB2 partition on lets say AIX 5.2 and then add
additional partitions on AIX 5.1 and AIX 5.3?

While you probably *can* physically do it, and it *may* more or less work,
it's not officially supported as far as I can recall. All machines in a
cluster need to be at the same OS level.
