Multiple Temp Tablespaces

Hi,

A friend of mine inheritted a system that had 2 4k temp tablespaces
each assigned to a different bufferpool. This brought up a number of
questions for me.

1) Does anyone know in general how db2 handles multiple temp
tablespaces of the same page size?

2) I had read somewhere that with multiple temp tablespaces of the
same size db2 will basically use them both in a round robin fashion and
that this is not efficient. First is this true and second why is this
not efficient?

3) Since in my friend's case each temp tablespace is assigned to a
different bufferpool how does db2 manage the movement of data between
the temp tablespaces and the bufferpools if it operates as I stated in
question 2?

4) How does the tablespace assigment of the core tables play into
this? For example, if I do a simple select from a table that is
assigned to a 4k bufferpool, say buf1, will it try to use the temp
tablespace also assigned to buf1?
Thanks in advance for any clarifications provided.

Lew
