Trouble connecting to DB2 in Visual Studio 2003

P: n/a
I have the DB2 add-in for Visual Studio 2003. However, I cannot get a
connection through the interface that IBM provides for its .net data
driver either in a regular .net project or in a DB2 project. I could,
however, enter a connection string instead of using its connection
builder to get a connection in a regular .net project. Unfortunately,
I couldn't do so in a "DB2DatabaseProject".

On the "Add DB2 Data Connection" window, I refreshed the server,
selected a server, refreshed database aliases and selected one of them.
The next thing I did was to type in the user and password. If I typed
the wrong password, I get an error message saying that the
user/password don't match. That indicates to me that the GUI is
communicating correctly with the DB2 server at this point. However, if
I enter the right user/password, I get an error "Test Connection Failed
:" with no further explanation. Can anyone point out where I should
look into?

Thank you,

Mike
