db2 8.2 client and vb6 ado refresh problem

If have a problem running vb6 code on a db2 v. 8.2 client. When I make
an adodc1.refresh call it returns BOF when it should have returned
data. When I run the exact same code against a 5.2 or 7.2 client the
code works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any known
problems with ado and db2 8.2? Thanks
