DB2 on zOS and Win XP Client

Hi All,

I am accessing db2 for zOS from a windows xp client and trying to find out
how many times a select or update sql statement is executed.

I am able to do this easily in db2 for windoze by by bringing up the monitor
and generating a pre-defined report. I can also do it thru sql directly by
using a snapshot function.

However, none of this works on zOS db2. The only thing that works is a
command line processor or sql command editor.

Any ideas on how I can get this information for a sql statement?

Thanks.

On DB2 zOS you have to start a DB2 zOS trace
-start trace(perf) class(3) ...
(performance class 3 traces describe execution and results of sql
statements) You will need further qualifications for plan/user and
destination. You then need to format the resulting IFCID records (their
format is described in an Appendix to the Admin Guide)

Normally your DB2 zOS monitor (if you have one) will be able to do this
for you.
