ccsid for db2

A user of spufi recently got the following error:

DSNE345I WARNING: DB2 DATA CORRUPTION CAN RESULT
FROM THIS SPUFI SESSION BECAUSE THE

CCSID USED BY THE TERMINAL IS NOT

THE SAME AS THE CCSID USED BY SPUFI
- TERMINAL CCSID: 1047

- SPUFI CCSID: 037

NOTIFY THE DB2 SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Our DB2 admin indicated to all users to make sure their terminal emulator
(Hummingbird Host Explorer) is set to character code set of 037. A quick
look at Google on code sets indicated to me that 037 does not at least
translate the square brackets to ebcdic properly. I don't know if this is
important in spufi but as far as general emulation goes for users on tso,
could changing to 037 from 1047 prevent other characters from being
translated properly? For English in the US, what would be the "standard"
code set used in DB2? We are running DB2 7.1. Thank you.
