send email with db2

Hi,
Is there any way to select a row from a db2 table and send it. Similar
to xp_sendmail on SQL Server.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with xp_sendmail, let alone SQL Server.

If you are asking about a DIRECT way to send a row as email with a function
or procedure that already exists in DB2, I'm pretty sure the answer is no; I
don't recall seeing anything like that in the current version of DB2 for
Linux/Unix/Windows.

However, if you want to create something that would sent an email from DB2,
I think the infrastructure is there to enable you to do it, if you don't
mind doing some coding.

I saw an article on how to do exactly that in IBM Developer Works a few
