db2 and NIS

P: n/a
I have several DB2 environments running on both AIX and Solaris. The OS
on each Unix host is using NIS for authentication, and so is DB2. My
NIS environment is changing, and I have rebound the Unix boxes to the
new NIS slaves. However, according to tcpdump output, my system is
still using the old NIS slaves for some traffic, and it appears to be
from DB2 processes. Can anyone describe what is going on, or point me
to some docs about this? Can I expect the NIS traffic to eventually
start going to the new slaves? Is there a DB setting that can be
tweaked on the fly? Or, is a DB bounce necessary to solve this? I know
a bounce solves it for sure, but I really don't want to do that unless
it's necessary.
