probelm with temp table

Hi,

I am creating a temp table within a procedure and inserting some
records based on some conditions. Is there a way I can query the temp
table to see how many records have been inserted when the procedure is
being executed.

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM <temp-table>

You mean from the outside? No way. The idea of the temp table is that it
is private to the session.
But if you want to knwo which crooked paths your procedure is taking
have a look at the SQL PL Debugger that comes with the Development
Center, or check out my SQL PL Tracing facility. You can find it by
searcging for "Rielau" at www.ibm.com
