db2connect and

Hello,
I'm trying to set up a connection between a linux server and a DB2 on
mainframe.

I have a server where everything is working correctly and a second one
where the connection cannot be established.

I tested if a firewall is blocking my connection with a simple telnet on
the listening port 6021. Both machine could reach the host.

The catalog registration for node and database is identical for the two
server.

Not working machine:

db2 => connect to DB2PROD user srvdbpr using srvdbpr
db2 => db2 => select tabname from syscat.tables
SQL0900N The application state is in error. A database connection does not
exist. SQLSTATE=08003

working machine:

db2 => connect to DB2PROD user srvdbpr using srvdbpr

Database Connection Information

Database server = DB2 OS/390 7.1.1
SQL authorization ID = SRVDBPR
Local database alias = DB2PROD

db2 => select tabname from syscat.tables
SQL0204N "SYSCAT.TABLES" is an undefined name. SQLSTATE=42704
Any idea?

Many thanks.

Sorry,
I solved my problem.

I didn't catalog the DCS.

Many thanks.
