DB2 authentication using padl

P: n/a
Is anyone out there familiar with padl? Is it possible to enable
authentication to DB2 with ldap by using padl?

To my knowledge native LDAP integration with DB2 won't be available
until DB2 v9. We also use PADL or more specifically XAD and also
regular LDAP.

To get around the authentication problem we have a script that copies
the necessary bits from LDAP and writes them into /etc/shadow (I'm
assuming you're on a *nix box of some sort) since it would appear that
DB2 reads this file directly rather than using PAM as expected.
