DB2 and PHP

P: n/a
Is there a strong interface between PHP and DB/2 UDB on Linux? Something that brings through the unique to DB2 capabilities so that PHP can utilize them. IBM has made DB2 very Java'ish which is
annoying to me as I am no fan of what Sun has done with Java. C++, Open Object Rexx, and for the web PHP are our main tools. Thus with PHP the LAMP standard is very common... Apache is fine, PHP as
well, but MySQL is just going to drive me nuts compared to the maturity of DB2. Looking to adjust LAMP to LADP.

TIA!

DB2 is supported by the Universal ODBC driver in PHP (compile with
--with-ibm-db2 option), and IBM has recently released the ibm_db2
PECL extension that provides native connectivity to DB2.

Thanks Ian, looks like IBM might be a bit serious about DB2 working with PHP... a pleasant surprise indeed!
