DB2 migration v5 to v8.1

I must migrate db2 from version 5 to the 8.1
What is the best solution?

You cannot do that in one step.
Either you have to migrate first to V6 or V7 and then to V8 or
depending on the size of your database, just install DB2 V8 and move your
data, table design etc.
from your v5 installation to your v8 installation.

By the way: What Operating system are you using? Windows, Linux, Unix or
something else?
