Windows authentication on DB2 UDB 8

P: n/a
Am new to DB2. I have to setup windows authentication (The user should
be recognised by windows username and password in the domain) and the
DB2 can be installed in any OS like linux, mainframe, windows etc....
Is this possible? and what are the various ways to do this?
Thanks in advance

You need to understand the difference between server authentication and
client authentication. See the Administration: Implementation and Planning
Guides.

For supported server systems, use Kerberos. Otherwise client authentication
is probably best. Review the documentation for the answer to your second
question.
