Hi,

DB2 V6.1 on windows

How can I write a query that join two tables in a different database (but
same instance).

Thanks

Have a look at DB2's federated capabilities. However, for that you want to
upgrade to V8 (or V7) - V6 is out of services for a few years now.

In DB2 V6.1 - no can do. This function was available in "Datajoiner".
Datajoiner was first merged into the DB2 codebase in DB2 V7 known as
"relational connect" IIRC.
Your best bet on V6.1 would be a connect type 2 which allows for
distributed transactions.
