Connection to iSeries with Windows credentials requires Local Admin rights

Hello!

I do have the following problem:

I've developed a Windows application which communicates with a
DB2-database on the iSeries platform using an ODBC-connection string.
This ODBC-connection-string refers to a system-connection configured
within the iSeries Navigator based on the Windows username and password
of the logged-on user.

However this ODBC-connection can only be made when the logged-on user
has Local Administrator rights. When he has not, there are no
connections available within the iSeries Navigator and a database
connection can not be established, becasue the user cannot be
identified.

Only when the user is added to the Local Administrators group, the
configured system-connection within the iSeries Navigator is available
and a database connection can be made succesful using the Windows
credentials.

Problem is: It is no-option to provide each user Local Administrator
rights.
However I'd like each user to have a database-connection based on their
Windows user credentials and I do not prefer each user to have each user
have their own user-and-password specified ODBC connection string.

How can the this be made a working solution?
