federated databases on 2 instances

P: n/a
Hello

(DB2 8.2.2 Win) Sometimes, we need select data from 2 databeses.
Databases were on one instance, I used federated databases mechanism. Worked
fine.

Now, databases are on 2 instances and I have a problem with CREATE
SERVER to connect second database.
Our sample configuration:
- default instance DB2CTLSV
- database TESTDB1
- instance DB2INST2
- database TESTDB2

Both instances has FEDERATED parameter set to YES.

I haven't problem if I perform CREATE WRAPPER and CREATE SERVER statements
on database TESTDB1. Unfortunatelly we need work with TESTDB2 and obtaint
data from TESTDB1.

------------
list node directory
Number of entries in the directory = 1

Node 1 entry:

Node name = DB2INST2
Comment =
Directory entry type = LOCAL
Protocol = LOCAL
Instance name = DB2INST2
--------------

CONNECT TO TESTDB2@
CREATE WRAPPER DRDA@

CREATE SERVER "SRV_TEST"
TYPE DB2/UDB
VERSION 8.2
WRAPPER DRDA
AUTHORIZATION myadm PASSWORD mypass
OPTIONS (DBNAME 'TESTDB1')@

SQL1013N Cannot find alias or database name "TESTDB1"

I tryed before statements apply:
CATALOG LOCAL NODE node1 INSTANCE DB2CTLSV and
CREATE SERVER with ....OPTIONS(NODE 'node1', DBNAME 'TESTDB1')

but I recived the same error.
After restart instance DB2INST2 "node1" disappear from result of "list node
directory" command. (why?)

What shoud I define, "catalog" or create to successfully CREATE SERVER on
TESTDB1 from TESTDB2?

Thanks in advance
Yaro
