*** News from the IIUG and IDUG User Conference
*** Informix Dynamic Server 10.0 Deep Dive by Mark Scranton, IBM
This session will focus on the new features and functionality of
IDS v10.0 - the largest release of IDS since version 9.x. Technical
detail will be included for topics such as Configurable Page Sizes,
Column Level Encryption, Multiple Buffer Pools, Memory Allocation
for non-PDQ Queries, Dynamic OPTCOMPIND, and many more. IDS 9.4
architectural changes will also be included as they are foundational
to some of the IDS v10.0 features.

*** DB2 UDB - the Basics by Keith Gardenhire, IBM
Keith Gardenhire is a DB2 IT specialist for the IBM Software Group.
Throughout his 28 year career with IBM he has held a wide variety
jobs that related to IBM relational databases. He was a DL/I Level II
support representative along with SQL/DS Change Team and Level II
support representative. While with IBM he went back to field as
an SQL/DS Software Support Representative. He was an Sybase SQL
Server and Oracle database administrator, when he left IBM and
worked at NationsBank (now called Bank of America). He returned
to IBM as a Senior Instructor for database products. Keith
Gardenhire holds certifications as DB2 UDB Database Administrator
and DB2 UDB Applications Developer.
*** DB2 V8 z/OS SQL Enhancements by Trina LaRue,
DB2 for z/OS Technical Specialist
This presentation will look at the new features and functions
related to SQL for DB2 Version 8 for z/OS. There is a long
list of new features associated with DB2 V8 z/OS SQL. The
focus of the presentation will be to deliver the basics to
build the foundation to allow application developers to exploit
this new SQL features and functionality.
