Schemas in SQL Stored Procs for WSE 8.2 on Linux

Tim
Hi

I am trying to use a few SP's to handle the conversion from one schema
to another as part of a replication envrionment (i.e. they will be
called by apply as after sql statements). In my set up I'll have more
than one source with the same tables in them but for different schemas.
Also I'll need to use CCD tables. So given two source databases A and
B each with a table T and a target database C I was would have:

Source A, table A.T
Source B, table B.T

Target C, table A.T
table CCDA.T
table B.T
table CCDB.T
table C.TX

What I'm hoping to be able to do is use a single generic SP to handle
the conversion for both sources. The SP will need to access either A.T
and CCDA.T or B.T and CCDB.T. Since the schema's of the tables I'll be
processing are variable I don't know if there's an elegant way of
coding this assuming it can be done at all.

Obviously I could write two SP's that are identical except that they
would have explicit schema names. The other way I could think of doing
this is to change the schema and table names of the ccd tables to be
either A.CCD_T or B.CCD_T but I'd rather not since a number of our
table names are more than 26 letters in length so I'd have to mangle
the table names to fit the 30 character limit.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance
tim
