Redistribution of V8.2 data warehouse

Does anyone have experience with redistributing 1+ terabyte of data on
a P690 under V8.2? We are trying to put our hands around a timeline,
and can not find reliable documentation out on the IBM website.

If so, how long did it take? Were significant roadblocks encountered?
Caveats? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks for any help you can
provide!

Our plan is to move from 8 to 16 partitions on our 3.5 TB database. We
are running AIX 5.2, 64-bit UDB 8.2 with Shark disk.

I hope you don't loose any data. I have an account with that bank.
