We are using BI software on Datawarehouse for reporting purpose.
In that we had some performance realted issues. So the only solution to
that was cerating indexes as per the requirements.
But as it involves DBA, its tedious process.
So if we create a view of a SCHEMA to which we are refering in
reporting, and then create index on that view, it will improve the
performance significantly. Your thoughts.
And doubt is
1] can we create Index on View at developer end (Offshore) without
invovling DBA in it?
2] Will it improve the performance of the reoprt generation? i.e. query
processing?
