db2 v8 fp7 on hp-ux11i

Does anyone know what the memory footprint should be for an out of the
box install of DB2 V8 on hp-ux11i. Either 32-bit instance or
64-bit. Preferrably 64-bit. For a 64-bit instance just issuing a
db2start with all default parms for the DBM config. I see about 400mb
of resident memory taken up and another 700mb of virtual memory. When
I then issue a db2 activate again on a database with bare minimums
default buffer pool etc.. I see the numbers jump to about 600 resident
memory and 1.2gb of virtual memory. What is it allocating for a
instance that is doing nothing!!! Is this a normal footprint on
HP-UX11i?
