type2 vs type 4 drivers

does anybody know the advantages/disadvantages of using a type 2 vs
type 4 driver for db2 81. on windows?

Or can you point me to any article outlining the differences between
the two?
Thanks,

This article does a decent job of explaining the pros and cons of the
different types of JDBC drivers.
