HELP --- unirpc no port avail

Hi! I really need help to fix this prob. The main problem is that I cant
use the universe (Ver: 10.0.13) remote connection via TCP layer. There
is no port available to connect my self whit an ODBC. System is running
Fedora core 3 whit an AMD64 3500+ - 4Gb - SATA. Locally it work great
but the unirpc daemon doesn't seem to work properly.

Alexandre, You've posted to the wrong newsgroup. While Universe was an

Well, yes, and no. He actually cross-posted to three groups:
comp.databases.informix
comp.databases.ibm-db2
comp.databases.pick
There is some justification for using any of them - probably least for
DB2. If you look at my monthly FAQ (yes, I know it needs updating),
it does say it is OK to post questions about U2 (Universe and Unidata)
to c.d.i, although there are relatively few people who can answer the
questions. It does even suggest comp.databases.pick as a suitable
alternative.

While Universe was an Informix owned product for a while, this is the newsgroup for Informix
Dynamic Server and Informix Standard Engine. Try comp.databases.pick or
the Universe developer's corner forum on IBM Developerworks or the U2UG

That's another URL I should add, I guess.
