DB2 Backup Error

Hi @ll,

System:
United Linux 1.0 under VMWARE Workstation.
Main System SLES9.
Server System: Dell Power Edge 1850

have very serious problem with DB2 V8.1.0.0 .
I do following command and get this error.

db2 "backup db archiv to /db2backup"

----------------------------------------------------------------------
SQL2025N Es ist der E/A-Fehler "6" bei Datenträger
"/db2backup/ARCHIV.0.db2inst1.NODE0000.CATN0000.20050125145947 .001"
aufgetreten.

Erklärung:

Ein E/A-Fehler trat auf, als auf eine Datei auf dem angegebenen
Datenträger zugegriffen wurde.

Die Verarbeitung des Dienstprogramms wird gestoppt.

Benutzeraktion:

Notieren Sie den Rückkehrcode des Fehlers. Prüfen Sie, ob der
E/A-Fehler behoben werden kann.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This directory is mounted from another unix file system about NFS.
I have all right permissions and i can create and executed everything i
want.
Also the ID of InstanceOwner and GUID is the same on the remote machine
were i store the data.
When DB2 executes the command he creates the file
"ARCHIV.0.db2inst1.NODE0000.CATN0000.2005012514594 7.001"
but nothing inside and stops the with the above error message.

I tried to use a USB device but i cant get it working.
I really dont know what to do at the moment!

Cu @ll,

Fabian
