memory leak in APPLHEAPSZ ?

Hi folks,

During a migration from version 7.2 to 8.1, we hit a SQL0954C (needs to
increase APPLHEAPSZ).

Well, before migration, it was set to 1556,
durring migration, we had to increase it to 3000
After being in V8.2, we put it back to 1556 as snapshots showed no pb with
the private workspace.

I still don't understand why we got this problem during this "migrate user
indexes" phase. I saw the note below that does NOT state about version 8.2.
Is there some memory leak pb here regarding APPLHEAPSZ - Version 7.2 FP11
Aix to Version 8.2 Aix. and DB2_BINSORT=Y ?

Thanks for your help,

Jean-Marc

SQL0954C while migrating a EEE multinode database
Technote (FAQ)

Problem
"Migrate user indexes failed with sqlocde
= -954" in the db2diag.log". You need to increase the Application Heap Size.

Solution
You should look at the db2diag.log and find
out which node has this problem. Db2diag.log contains something like this,
node: nnn Migrate user indexes failed with
sqlocde = -954" in the db2diag.log

You should go to node nnn and increase the
Application Heap Size for that specific node.
