How to find the version of the client...

Ours is the following configuration:

Applications get triggered on Webserver; these applications connect to the
DB2 connect gateway server (with DB2 Connect EE V 8.1 installed) and
finally get data from DB2 V7.1 on z/OS.

I am in the process of implementing Connection concentrator on DB2 Connect
gateway server. Apparently, the connection concentrator can only be used by
DB2 Version 7 or later clients.

What does 'client' mean in this regard? Is it the webserver where
applications are originated? How do I find the client version. I don't
have any access to the webserver; my access is limited to DB2 connect
server and the mainframe.

TIA
Raquel.

for your DB2 V7.1 on z/OS, DB2 connect gateway server is the client
for your DB2 connect gateway server, webserver where applications are
originated is the client.

this is my understanding that the "client" in question is the DB2
Connect Gateway Server (according to the above layout).

regards,
dotyet
