License question

Originally installed WSE on a Windows XP machine to work on a project
in development in my office. I have Developer's Edition.

Also installed (downloaded, rather than using Developer's Edition)
Personal Edition on another machine at home to work on the same
project there. Seems that this download had a limited license which
has expired.

Now, I need to install WSE on the home machine (rather than PE) for
testing. This is not allowed, as there is a license violation due to
the expired PE.

How to get my machine to accept WSE from my Developer's Edition? I
already uninstalled the PE, and removed references to it from the
registry. I assume that DB2 wrote to the boot tracks, and I can't
fool with that.

OK, I had to search.

Found a "registry cleaner" and "unisntaller."

It did the job and I wasbale to procede.

I guess the question is, if you have a valid license for WSE, you should
be able to install the license with License Center. Once you've
exhausted your trial period for DB2, you didn't expect to be able to
continue to use it?

Ian, Thanks for responding.

Point was that I installed a downloaded Personal Edition with limited
license (stupidly), although I have Developer's Edition with unlimited
license. When the limited license expired, I could not install the
unlimited license.

Anyway . . . it's working now.
